Hummel History

Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel (Breta Hummel) was a local artist whose talents were recognized by the Goebel company.  Goebel produced figurines for more than 70 years based on the paintings.  M.I. Hummel died in 1947 but her life’s work lived on through Goebel.  In the last 3 years Goebel closed the factory and business only to have it purchased and reopened by Rodental manufacturing.
