Lladro President Rosa Lladro finished her October United States figurine signing events with appearances in Nevada and California this weekend.  Lladro is a world leader in fine quality porcelain figurines, home decor, sculptures, and gifts.  The company is based in Tavernes Blanques, Spain.  A suburb of Valencia the company moved into its City of Porcelain headquarters in 1969.

Rosa Lladro is the daughter of Juan Lladro who along with brothers Jose and Vicente started Lladro in 1953.  At first Lladro was primarily a vase and jug manufacturer until moving into sculptures and figurines in 1956.  Rosa Lladro has been a board member of this family company since 1984.  She also sits on the Lladro Creativity Committee with responsibility for all artistic issues.

During October, she made eleven public appearances to promote the limited edition sculpture “Passionate Tango” which retails for $1500.  Only 3000 were produced making a signed figurine by the daughter of the founder a valuable collector item.

She appeared Friday at Regis Galarie, an art boutique located in Las Vegas at the Grand Canal Shoppes of the Venetian Hotel.  Regis Galarie displays and sells numerous art objects by such brands as Lalique, Daum, Faberge, and of course Lladro.  Over 600 Lladro pieces are stocked at the Vegas location making Regis Galarie one of the largest Lladro retailers in the world.

The beautiful figurine features a man dressed in a black suit and hat dancing with a lady dressed in a dazzling red dress and shoes.  The piece highlights the sensuality and passion of the dance.  As a gift with the purchase customers received a CD with a selection of the rhythms and themes music of this dance.
